•Suppose there was a bank that credits your account each morning with N86.400.00
•It carries no balance from day to day
•Each night they deleted whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
•You will draw out every kobo of course
•Each of us has such a bank, its name is time.
•Every morning you are credited with 86400 SECONDS. i.e 1440 mins/24hrs daily.
•Every night it writes off whatever of it you failed to invest to good purpose as lost.
•It carries over no balance, it allows no overdraft
•Each morning it opens a new account for you, it burns the remaining of the day.
•If you fail to use a deposit, the loss is yours, there’s no going back, there’s no drawing against tomorrow.
•You must live in the present of today’s deposit
•Invest it so as to get the best in health, productivity, happiness and success
•The clock is running, make the utmost of today.
•To realise the value of 1 year , ask a student that had a carry over.
•For the value of 1 month , ask the mother who gave birth to a premature.
•The value of 1 hour , ask the lovers who are waiting to reunite.
•The value of 1 minute , ask the person who missed the train.
•For the value of 1 second , ask the person who just escape an accident
•For the value of 1 millisecond, ask the person who won silver medal in the Olympic.
PERSONAL STUDY TIME
•Many students feel that once they leave the classroom or lab that is the end of study for the day. Class work is only a part of study. Successful students have private study time. A time to go over everything they were taught in the class. This requires careful planning so that all the subjects can be covered. Each student has to determine how many minutes or hours they can spend a day on their studies.
Use Your Time Judiciously
•Preparation for examination began the day you started lectures. Determine the grades you need in each course and apportion proportionate time .This will help you to plan your study time. Is d time ‘m putting in enough to cover all the topics and practicals I have to cover in the syllabus?
•Now that you have all the topics to cover, you can allocate number of hours you want to use to study each topic in each subject and this must be spread evenly so that no topic or subject is left out.
•It is from this, that you will draw you study schedule.
4-Ds of Time Management
•Devotion- deep love and commitment.
•Dedication - spend time or energy doing something.
•Discipline- the ability to behave in a controlled and calm way even in a difficult or stressful situation.
•Determination wins-ability to continue even when you fail.
Things to Avoid
•Discouragement – wanting to stop, less motivated
•Distraction – something that diverts attention.
•Procrastination – postpone doing something.
•Don’t quit, quitters don’t win, winners don’t quit.(Oral Roberts)
Examination Malpractice
•The objective of higher education is to prepare future leaders for challenges in the society & develop manpower
•To achieve this require assessment through exams from time to time to ascertain the level of knowledge & competence.
•Though exam is not the true test of knowledge, it remains the most reliable yardstick to ascertaining education competence
•Today however, the issue of exam malpractice has witnessed an increasing trend as people are looking for certificates by all means “ by fire by thunder”

•Impersonation eg someone interrogated revealed he was in London when exams were taken
•Sometimes exams are leaked by lecturers, admin staff and other Exam Officers
Consequences of Exam Malpractice

•Perpetual condemnation of ones conscience of carrying a fake certificate
•It leads to personal inefficiency.
•It is a sin against God and all culprits will end up in hell

Conclusion
•Treasure every moment that you have.
•Treasure it more because time waits for no one.
•Yesterday is history
•Today is a gift
•Tomorrow is a mystery
•Time is the currency of life, how do you spend yours?
•That’s why it’s called present
•DON’T PLAY NOW TO PAY LATER RATHER PAY NOW AND PLAY LATER
•Use your time judiciously
•Organise yourself to undertake this BECAUSE IT WILL BE A DISASTER IF YOU FAIL IN LIFE
