accused witches beaten for eating corpses

Witch burning, torture and sorcery are still common in Papua New Guinea, where women who are accused
of being witches are stripped, beaten, slashed, blindfolded and placed 'on trial' on a piece of roofing Days later they will be tied to a stake and tortured with branding irons amid a frenzied crowd which chants 'kolim nem' (call the name) of the so-called witch to save her.
