A 57-year-old man, Sunday Osemwekhe, is in police net in Benin for allegedly killing his half-brother with machete over a local soup called owoh . According to PM News, the incident reportedly happened at Evboesi community in Orhionmwon Local Government
area of Edo state. Sunday was paraded with 80 other suspects by the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Foluso Adebanjo. Mr Adebanjo said the deceased took from Sunday’s soup without his permission and it led to an argument that reportedly degenerated into fracas, which resulted in Sunday cutting off the victim’s hand with a machete which led to his death few days later. The commissioner disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
