14-year old bride kills her husband after forced to marry him in Kano state

A 14-year old bride, Wasila Umaru has allegedly killed her 35 year-old groom, Umaru Sani and three other persons in Kano with a rat poison which she poured in their meal. Her husband and three of his friends were said to have eaten the poisonous food without suspecting anything.

The three out of the four of them died on the spot, while the fourth person, a female later died at the hospital she was rushed to.


The suspect, Wosila Umaru confessed to the act claiming that her reason for committing the crime was because she was forced to marry a man she didn’t love.
