In the early hours of today in an
area popularly known as Back-of-general in suleja, Niger state an incident
happened that shook some residents.
A group of boys attacked a said babalawo
pikin and beat him up for contacting his father to assist in an on going
investigation of a missing phone.
The boy whose father is a native doctor, residing
in Lagos is said to have revealed phone-thieves in two occasions, by just
contacting his dad through the phone, but this last one really landed him in
trouble.
A phone was stolen sometimes last
week and the case was reported to the area vigilante group known as yanbanga, in other to get it right they
contacted the boy so that he could get in touch with his dad in Lagos, his dad requested
for a list of all persons they are suspecting when he was contacted, after they
have compiled the list and send it to the him, he then told them two names that should be held
responsible for the missing phone, the vigilante group then reach out to the
two persons the remote native doctor said are responsible and they were interrogated.

This morning the boys whose names
appeared on the list as suspects ganged up and attacked the boy and they all
displayed their fighting skills but because he was alone he could not defend himself,
some men intervened and he was rescued,
but he said something that really got some people thinking, “ for this thing wey you do ehhn, ok” he smiled and walked away. Lets
just hope he meant no harm.
