MR EASY, MAYORKUN, SUGARBOY, NINIOLA, TOBY GREY, KOKER et al Bag 2016 Top Naija Music Awards Nominations

A whole lot really seem to have happened in the Nigeria music industry in the year 2015/2016 that should make Nigerians proud, especially music lovers. Despite the recession, Nigerian acts have doled out singles and music videos for their teeming fans to enjoy.

The Top Naija Music Awards which has been running consecutively since 2012 and is now in its 4th edition is proud to announce the nominees for the 2016 edition of the awards which is set to hold in January 2017 in Lagos. 

And from the nominations, 12 fast rising and hardworking artistes are nominated in the artiste of the yea category. Some of them are MR EASY, MAYORKUN, SUGARBOY, NINIOLA, TOBY GREY, KOKER. Others are MZ KISS, PEPENAZI,  DREMO, SKIBII, TJAN and TEMMIE OVWASA.

Voting is already ongoing on the official voting link www.topnaijamusicawards.com/vote and all nominees are already getting their fans to vote for them

The President of the award and CEO of Top Naija Music company, a foremost music promotion & Artiste profile management platform, Paul Oghoghorie said We are excited to get the award going despite what is happening in the economy. Even with no support from any sponsor, we have still been able to push on. Our driving force are the music artistes from all over the world who even ask about participating in the award before we begin. We give God all the praise. 

While this year award received over a thousands entries from emerging Nigerian music artistes from across the globe, only about 30 of them will be awarded. The voting process is a very transparent one and we made sure that its only those who have some track record of their work on the internet that got nominated.

While voting ends on 24th December, the results will be announced in a twitter event on 26th December while the award presentation to the winners will hold on January 7, 2017 at  Lagos Oriental Hotel.
